The Rugby Academy Launches on Gold Coast

The Rugby Academy (TRA), a not for profit rugby organisation, is running several coaching programs during the summer school holidays and into the 2012 season.  Grant Anderson is the Head Coach of TRA.  He is an accredited Australian Rugby Union Level 2 Coach, is Head Coach of the Breakers Premier Colts (Grand Finalists 2011), a Head Coach for the ARU Junior Gold Squad (Gold Coast) and is the TSS U/16A and 1st XV Scrum Coach.

A former professional rugby player and foundation member of the Breakers, Grant has vast experience in elite rugby both as a player and coach. He has worked as a Regional Development Manager for the Queensland Rugby Union and holds a Bachelor of Sport Management.  Educated on the Gold Coast, Grant has experienced first hand the pathway opportunity that playing on the Gold Coast presents by going on to become an Australian Representative at age level and then playing professional rugby in the UK. Grant is passionate about the development of rugby and enhancing a high performance pathway for players and coaches.
