President's Message
This Year Eagles are out to retain their titles in Seniors and win some in Juniors.
The club is going great with new gear room extension, painting to outside and the field is looking pristine.
We have had a good sign on with this year looking like having 8 Junior teams and increasing our seniors to the full complement of 4.
We are always looking for more players so spread the word at school and around the traps.
It never ceases to amaze me how every time we turn around another old Eagles player or Coach turns up, it is fantastic for the club.
This year we have Bob Clark as Coach of our Colts, Bob coached with Eagles through the 1990’s and has a strong association with Trinity Lutheran College, welcome back Bob.
We also have Luke Caughley coaching our First Grade, Luke played for Eagles in the 90’s before a stint with the Red’s then off to Japan, welcome back Luke. These are only a couple of people out of many I would like to mention throughout the coming season.
Gary Lisle has come out of retirement to take on the role of Junior Coaching coordinator. Gary had many successful years coaching Randwick and then Gold Coast Cyclones.
We have a rejuvenated Junior committee headed by the likes of Eden Scallan and Steve Kluver, please make yourselves known to these guy’s and any assistance you can give throughout the season will be greatly appreciated.
This year we have restructured the training days and times to Tuesday and Thursday to coincide with the Seniors training, this will give the younger boy’s the opportunity to mingle with our Seniors and maybe get some tips and assistance with training. We will also have the canteen and bar open on these nights so hang around and have a meal and a drink.
Finally we are organising a social night for the Junior parents on Saturday night the 27th of March at the club. I think there will be a meal with bar open and the Super 14 game of
BLUES V WARRATAHS, please make the effort to come and meet some other parents and players.
