Whole of Club Approach

The Eagles has adopted a “Whole of Club” approach to coaching and coach education, so that we can expand the coaching pool, provide sustainability for the club and improve team performances at all levels.  The Coaching at each level is lead by experienced and accredited coaches, and players from the Senior’s ranks are undertaking coaching accreditations to assist Junior’s Coaches on a rostered basis.

Coaching

Opportunities exist at all levels of the Club for coaches.  Whether you are already an experienced Senior’s or Junior’s Coach, or are interested in learning to be a Coach please talk to the Coaching Co-ordinators relevant to your level and interests.  There are clearly defined coaching pathway courses and mentoring available for those who wish to develop coaching skills.  The Club will pay your fees to attend accredited coaching courses.

Assisting the Junior Coaches

Eagles would like to invite more parents to help in assistant coaching roles. Rather than stand on the sideline and watch your kids train, please talk to your team coach and see if you can jump in and lend a hand, whether it is recovering balls, helping with a drill that the coach has planned or just providing encouragement.  There is no regular commitment needed, please just get involved and all help the kids get the best from the training sessions.
